My Personal Childhood Web!

Hello blog friends please enjoy some of my favorite childhood moments. Also check out my web attached to blog link on blackboard. Thanks to these five people in my life I have accomplished many goals and plan to complete more.

My father really showed me alot of love as a child he gave me hugs and also let me ride in his truck everywhere. He even took me to work, and that is how he influenced me seeing him work hard encourage me to do the same. me to do the same.

My mother was a stay at home mom who made sure we had three home cooked meals and she helped us with homework everyday. Our house was spotless and she has influence me to do the same for my family. As a child I felt special becasue my mother supported me in all my adventures
My two sisters Amanda(oldest) and Adriana(baby sister) influence me as child by being kind to others even when they were mean to them. They make me feel special as a child because they were always honest with me and encourage me to keep striving for the best.

My brother Anthony is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. He showed me how much he cares through hugs and kind words. He has influnced me as a child  because he has always had respect for females.

My Aunt Francine influenced me because she is a single parent and she never complains and she helped build my confidence every since I was a little girl by telling me I was beautiful!

-NFL- SUPERSTAR- Justin tuck Home-Field Advantage

Justin Tuck and his wife, Lauran founded Tuck's R.U.S.H in 2008 for literacy to encourage children to read. Justin parents believed in education, by supporting literacy, the Bucks hope to encourage children to develop a love for books. As Justin says, "Academic success starts with reading and literacy."

This book is about a 274 pound ,six feet five NFL football player name Justin Tuck  who plays for the New York Giants. When people ask him how he got so tough, he would say "You'd be tough too, if you grew up with five sisters. Justin tells the story about the day his sisters gave him a haircut, you can imagine how this turned out. Even though they gave him a reverse mohawk he knew they  loved him and he loved them and that's what family is about. It also helped as he got older it got harder to push him around, but maybe someday he will let them reverse the mohawk.

I love this book because it is Afro-centric and it shows how family bond and it is very funny. My kids are 9 and 12 they love it we read it every night. Whenever you read it to your pre-school children make sure you tell them scissors are only for paper not hair. This book is great for all ages!

"It takes a village to raise a child" African Proverb

My favorite quote about children is the African Proverb "It takes a village to raise a child". I love this quote because I am a firm believer and living proof that it really takes a community to help children believe in themselves. This is also the motto of my classroom I make sure everyone is involve with the children in my class. Parents are always welcome, field trips to local community business like grocery stores, fire stations, police stations, nature parks,  and museums are some ways I keep the community involved. Academic success not only starts with reading and literacy but also with being aware of your surroundings and knowing that you have the support of the community.
